Vue Reality Labs is the applied research and development arm of Vue Networks, specialising in Extended Reality (XR) technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and immersive digital experiences.
Working at the intersection of technology, education, and healthcare, we research, design, develop, and evaluate innovative solutions that address real-world challenges. Through multidisciplinary collaborations with universities, healthcare institutions, and community organisations, we translate emerging technologies into practical, human-centred applications that enhance learning, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Vue Reality Labs focuses on applied research in immersive technologies across four key areas:
VR recreation and reminiscence for older adults, AI-assisted immersive reminiscence, digital health and care innovation, and immersive learning and training.
Through the integration of XR, AI, and human-centred design, we develop and evaluate innovative solutions that enhance wellbeing, support caregiving, and transform learning experiences. Our research emphasises practical applications, accessibility, and real-world impact.

Vue Reality Labs has developed a range of immersive VR recreational experiences designed to bring meaningful activities and virtual exploration to older adults, including those with limited mobility. Through carefully curated 360-degree environments, seniors can revisit familiar places, explore destinations, experience nature, and participate in guided reminiscence activities. These experiences are designed for facilitated use in nursing homes, senior care centres, community settings, and home care, encouraging conversation, social interaction, and emotional engagement. Developed through applied research and field deployments, our VR recreation solutions demonstrate how immersive technologies can make enriching experiences more accessible to older adults.

At Vue Reality Labs, we believe that meaningful innovation must be validated beyond the laboratory. Our applied research approach brings together academic rigour, human-centred design, and practical technology development through a continuous process of research, co-design, prototyping, evaluation, and real-world deployment.
We work closely with researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, caregivers, and end-users to ensure that our solutions are not only technically innovative, but also usable, accessible, effective, and relevant to their intended environments. By testing technologies in real-world settings and incorporating feedback into further development, we aim to translate research outcomes into scalable and sustainable applications.

Collaboration is central to our research philosophy. Vue Reality Labs works with academic institutions, healthcare providers, and community organisations to investigate the effectiveness, usability, and real-world application of immersive technologies.
In Singapore, we collaborate with many academic and healthcare institutions such as the Singapore University of Social Sciences, Changi General Hospital, Dover Park Hospice, Singapore General Hospital and the National Health Group among others. Our regional research collaborations include Flinders University in Australia, Lingnan University in Hong Kong, Taipei Medical University in Taiwan and Reading University in Malaysia.
Through joint research projects, field studies, academic publications, and interdisciplinary partnerships, we contribute to the growing evidence base for XR applications in education, healthcare, and community wellbeing.

The Vue Reality Labs XR Digital Media Sandbox provides an environment for experimentation, ideation, and prototyping of immersive digital media solutions.
Originally established at Singapore's LaunchPad @ One-North innovation district, the Sandbox supports the exploration and development of VR, AR, 360-degree media, and emerging interactive technologies.
Designed to bridge creative production, technological experimentation, and applied research, it brings together researchers, developers, educators, and industry collaborators to test new concepts, develop functional prototypes, and evaluate innovative applications. The Sandbox reflects our commitment to making immersive technology development accessible, collaborative, and focused on practical outcomes.
